Greetings From A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Image
Bright Suns 💫  (aka Good Morning) from Batuu. Today, I am FINALLY getting around to sharing with you all the details (and exciting news) regarding Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Walt Disney World.   For those of you who may be unaware, back in late August Galaxy’s Edge opened in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The massive, extremely immersive land featured one ride at opening called Smuggler’s Run, which allows park guests to ride on the Millennium Falcon and complete a mission. Riders are assigned a role of Pilot, Gunner, or Engineer, and one of the coolest parts about this ride (in my opinion) is that you absolutely CAN and MIGHT fail and destroy the Falcon. From my personal experience, it does seem like the Pilot definitely has the coolest job, but either way I had a ton of fun on this ride. It truly felt so real, and like nothing I have ever experienced. Another feature of Galaxy’s Edge is two unique quick service dining locations. Docking Bay 7 and Black Sp...

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Image
Hey Everyone, Finally with all of the craziness in my life winding down I am back with another blog post. Today I wanted to address one of the most frequently asked questions I see on the internet from people planning trips to Disney. "Is Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party worth all the extra money?" This year I actually attended my FIRST EVER MVMCP (I have only been to the Halloween party before). I went on the opening night, so I wanted to review my experience for you, in case you were planning a trip for the next holiday season and were wondering if it was something you should do. If you didn't already know, MVMCP is a special ticketed event in Magic Kingdom that runs on select nights from the beginning of November until Christmas. The park is only open to guests who purchase the special tickets for the event. The event begins at 7pm, but guests with party tickets are able to enter the park as early as 4pm (if you have extra park tickets for that morning or a...

Should I become an Annual Passholder?

Image
Hello everyone! (this information and pricing was current as of 09/2018, park tickets and annual pass prices may no longer reflect most up to date price) Today I decided to talk about something that I know is something a lot of people who visit Walt Disney World think about. If you are a Disney lover who has considered purchasing an annual pass but have never purchased one- this is the blog post for you! I am going to break down the pricing for options, and go over how you can decide if an annual pass is right for you, or which annual pass you should purchase. Before we begin, if you are not an annual passholder, there are a few questions you should first ask yourself to help you make your decision: 1. How many trips do you make to WDW a year? How many days will you spend in the parks in that year? (Disclaimer- most passes would require you to visit twice in order to save money) 2. Do you park hop? 3. Do you visit the water parks? 4. Will you visit WDW around Christmas, New ...

Planning A Disney Wedding: Part I- Site Visit

Hey Everyone! So even though weddings may not be everyone’s favorite subject/interest, it is something I wanted to include here as sort of featured topic every few months. A Disney wedding is certainly special and magical, so even if you’re just here for reading about rides and food just try to bare with me and stick around! Before I get into logistics about how to have a Disney Wedding and go over what the site visit is and what it includes, I want to give a little information on us. Kyle and I got engaged at Magic Kingdom in June of 2017. The funny thing is that we (and by we I really mean I) have been dreaming of and planning our Disney Wedding since our first trip as a couple almost four years ago. I had already decided on the venue, time of year, and approximate guest count long before Kyle even thought about popping the question. When he proposed, I had already known about how Disney wedding planning timelines worked, so we selected November 2019 as the month for our weddi...

Wine Bar George Open in Disney Springs

Image
Last month during my visit to Walt Disney World, I finally got the opportunity to visit Wine Bar George. My fiancé’s family has sort of converted me into an avid wine drinker over the past several years, so this has been a restaurant I have been dying to try since it was announced. When I am not in Disney World, a lot of my time is spent drinking wine and eating lots of cheese, so I knew that this was going to be the kind of place that I would enjoy. Many of the cast members that we spoke with actually said that it is where they go on the weekends to meet with friends or other cast members.  One day out of our trip, my fiancé and I headed down to Disney Springs with the intention of trying it out. When we walked up to Wine Bar George, we could tell it was extremely packed, especially considering it was only around 3 or 4 in the afternoon. Two very polite hostesses outside greeted us and informed us that there were not tables available inside at the moment but we were free ...
